Job Summary:  The Mission of this role is to direct activity and provide day-to-day leadership for the low slope foreman and production crews so that assigned projects are executed safely, efficiently and profitably.  Work in cooperation with the GSM estimators, procurement and support staff as necessary to plan projects proactively.  Perform work in a way that aligns with GSM operating values including cooperation, flexibility, respect for team members & customers and always in a professional manner.

Tactical Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA, customer and GSM-mandated safety requirements and procedures
  • Make daily weather calls and communicate schedule to active project customers
  • Adjust daily foreman & crew work assignments based on current information
  • Communicate project safety expectations and monitor proper jobsite safety setup
  • Ensure product installation to manufacturer specification and project scope
  • Assign crew to jobs, communicate job execution plan to foreman, aligned with WO binder documentation
  • Monitor foreman daily time reporting for accuracy & timeliness
  • Monitor project material delivery & usage for alignment with estimate
  • Confirm customer change order requirements with estimator and communicate to foreman
  • Track timely and accurate completion of required T&M tickets for change orders
  • Communicate with GCs and customer-site representatives as necessary to relay review schedule, progress and project requirements
  • Ensure completion of job completion punch list
  • Support ongoing implementation of employee Training Ladder requirements
  • Coordinate daily employee administrative activities as necessary (PTO, call-offs, etc.)
  • Provide employee documentation as necessary (discipline, recognition)
  • Participate in weekly scheduling meeting process, onsite customer pre-job meetings and internal pre-job meetings for selective projects when scheduled
  • Provide monthly project work hour status for WIP planning
  • Conduct annual employee performance review & discuss new year goals
  • Position requires 24/7 availability – responsible to make accommodations when unavailable
  • Review and document employee performance per GSM guidelines
  • Review and document employee discipline issues per GSM guidelines


  • High school diploma and a minimum of five years of related experience
  • Computer literacy, basic understanding of Microsoft Office & related software
  • Effective communication skills, both written & oral
  • Effective time-management & project-coordination skills
  • Working knowledge of a wide variety of roofing systems
